For the past 23 years, I have operated a landscape company in New Mexico.  I’ve always been a hands-on, mechanically inclined, type of person.  Although my earlier years were spent working as a grower in various wholesale nurseries, I never really enjoyed working for others.  So, with my horticultural background and God given talent for repairing equipment, starting a landscaping company seemed the right choice.  Several of my hubs are based on this subject.

Photography has always been my passion and I have traveled to many wonderfully photographic destinations.  Greece is probably my favorite: the people are friendly, the food is fantastic and the scenery is fabulous!  Photos of Greece, Italy, England as well as many North American destinations may be seen at www.martymoore.com. 

My hubs reflect my varied interests:  photography, automotive mechanics, fishing, sailing, camping, hiking, motorcycle riding, animals, horticulture, carpentry, crafts, graphic arts, business, marketing, website building and many more subjects. 

I just love the desert Southwest.  Usually pretty dry and barren of lush vegetation, but just wait till it rains, that's when the desert really comes to life.  Flowers pop up everywhere, almost overnight.  All sorts of creatures come out of hiding, millipedes, box turtles, snakes and tarantulas are all out enjoying the temporarily wet world.  I really think they named New Mexico correctly, The Land of Enchantment, it truly is enchanting!
